Shunia Renee Perkins

Shunia Renee Perkins was born on March 8, 1966 to the late Josie Lee Perkins and Otis Hollins in Houston Texas. She was Josie’s baby girl of 5 children. She was educated in the Houston Public School District and graduated from Jack Yates High School in 3rd ward. Shunia briefly attended Huston-Tillotson University in Austin Texas where she was apart of their basketball team. She returned home to Houston where she joined motherhood giving birth to her pride and joy Gregory Paul Perkins on November 2, 1988. Shunia was a very hard working woman and single mother who at times worked 2 & 3 jobs to provide for her son. Shunia’s passions were food service, quality time with family, and happy hour! Preceded in death by her grandparents, step father Oscar Calvin Perkins, and younger brother Andre’ Perkins Prince. She leaves to cherish her loving memories and special moments her son Gregory Paul Perkins, grandsons Jaimarion and Cohl Perkins, sisters Bridgett Stanfield (Henry) Wanda Robinson (Frank) Angela Mc Gruder, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends including her near and dear Laquanda Horhn.
